  • Customer CEDASA/INCOPISOS Group
  • Location Santa Gertrudes (SP), Brazil
  • Solution ENEAGREEN — FIMO
01

From water independence to the limits of traditional systems.

With the introduction of ENEA technologies in the 1980s, the ceramic industry gradually abandoned oil press water cooling, adopting air-based systems.

CEDASA/INCOPISOS also followed this evolution using vertical radiators, which delivered good performance but with operational limits increasingly evident.

Vertical radiators (though an important evolution) showed high consumption and complex maintenance that affected operating efficiency.

02

Cutting consumption and operational inefficiencies.

The existing cooling system, based on ON/OFF vertical air radiators, had three recurring critical issues: fans always active (even when not needed), high consumption due to lack of modulation, and complex maintenance because of overhead installation.

In a plant with dozens of presses, these inefficiencies translated to continuous energy waste and a progressive loss of performance.

Inefficient operation

ON/OFF system: fans active even without actual cooling demand.

High energy consumption

No modulation of ventilation, continuous waste over the entire annual cycle.

Complex maintenance

Overhead installation, cleaning difficulties and progressive performance loss.

03

Why vertical radiators were no longer enough.

During the technical analysis, the Inter Ser team identified the structural limits of the previous solution. The problem wasn’t air technology (confirmed as the right direction) but ventilation control: without modulation, the system continuously wasted energy.

The diagnosis was clear: an evolution was needed that retained the air-cooling advantages while introducing intelligent operation.

Parameter Previous solution New solution
Technology ON/OFF air Variable-speed air
Control None Intelligent PLC
Maintenance Complex (overhead) Self-cleaning (fan reverse)
Consumption High Reduced (-30% minimum)
Performance Variable Constant and superior

ENEAGREEN, intelligent high-efficiency cooling.

ENEAGREEN is the first cooling system for press oil in ceramics with variable-speed ventilation.

Designed by FIMO (over 30 years of industry experience) and distributed by Inter Ser, it integrates intelligent modulation, self-cleaning and remote monitoring in a single compact unit.

Designed by FIMO, distributed by Inter Ser
  • Variable air

Ventilation regulated based on real oil temperature.

  • Self-cleaning

Automatic fan reversal, zero dirt buildup over time.

  • Energy saving

Consumption reduction ≥ 30%, up to 40% vs. traditional ON/OFF systems.

  • Industry 4.0

Remote monitoring with Delta Energy system, performance always tracked.

05

From initial test to full adoption.

In January 2023, the first 2 ENEAGREEN units were installed at the Santa Gertrudes plant. The customer immediately verified: faster, more effective cooling, more stable temperatures, elimination of cleaning issues.

Result: full trust in the solution. Over the next 15 months, CEDASA/INCOPISOS replaced 24 more vertical radiators, reaching a total of 26 ENEAGREEN units installed in the plant.

What this case demonstrates

The CEDASA/INCOPISOS case shows how a targeted technological evolution can generate major energy savings without compromising on reliability or performance, in a market (the Brazilian one) particularly sensitive to operating costs.

01

Fit-for-purpose

Not the simplest product, but the most efficient one given real plant conditions and local climate.

02

Energy efficiency

Significant reduction in consumption and operating costs, with fast cumulative ROI across the machine fleet.

03

Long-term reliability

Constant performance thanks to the self-cleaning system and PLC control, even after years of continuous operation.
